Idle Ride
A podcast dedicated to low stakes deep dives into pop culture led by Marcy, a middle-aged, multimedia casual consumer. She is joined by her chosen brother Paul as they discuss science fiction and post apocalyptic TV/Movies. They recently reviewed HBO’s The Last of Us and Avatar the Last Airbender on Netflix. They are now eager to begin discussing the TV show Fallout on Amazon Prime.
Marcy and Paul have been friends and occasional roommates for over 20 years. This means that they've spent countless hours sitting on a couch together watching TV and playing video games. Both of us love books and science, so most episodes include those things. We'd love for you to join us on our cushy couch! Spoilers are expected with this show.
Idle Ride
35 - Apple+ Silo Episode 1: Freedom Day
Season 3 of Idle Ride is finally here! Our plan is to review the Apple+ series Silo and the second season of HBO Max The Last of Us. For our first podcast episode, we will be discussing Episode 1 of Silo titled Freedom Day. This episode features a new segment that Paul coined as Marcy's Story Time, where she reads aloud passages from the book to compliment the show. Marcy also compares author Hugh Howey's book Wool to the show and how his writing style compares with Stephen King. Don't worry, we didn't leave out Lessons in Lore. Have you ever wondered how a spinning hard drive works or what it takes to recover deleted files? Paul can help you with that! Don't forget to rate and review us on Apple podcast, Spotify, or where ever you listen to podcasts.
